Book Reviews

Mrs. Mike:
I just finished reading this book.  It was amazing!  It reads like a classic, but is fast paced and intriguing.  It tells the story of a young girl who moves to Canada from Boston.  It is about how she finds love, grows, and melds with the harsh Canadian Frontier.  This book is a love story about the importance of family and how the threads of our lives intermingle with others to create a beautiful tapestry full of wonder and love.  I have a feeling I will be thinking of the characters in this book for days to come!

A is for Alibi:
I finished this book late last night.  There have been rave reviews for this book and its series.  The book is about a woman named Kinsey Millhone who is a private investigator.  She is looking into the death of a prominent attorney and gets more than she bargained for.  The story line was great and the characters were believable.  The language in the book was explicit and I did not like some of the sexual content in the book.  There were two sexual scenes that I needed to skip.  I was a little disappointed because of these things because I love mysteries and I am sad to say I will not be completing this series.
